3 from sources i have read, apparently, atlantis was a greek volcanic island in the mediterranean sea, which was evantually flooded over or "swallowed up by the sea."
4 As for me personally, I wish to believe Plato's Atlantis has existed. It's just my belief. I think it's not a kind of a prejudice or granny's fairy tales.
As much as I know the contemporary official science does't recognize sth mysterios like Atlantis, but I think there is something to ponder on.
Honestly, I'd like to be engaged in atlantology, it's very fascinating...
