Misunderstanding is a hard thing. Seems that you talk on different languages, and all the arguments that you provide to your opponent are either ignored, as if you are talking to wall, or perverted the way you cannot even imagine.
I dream that there would be some way to change places. Good, wouldn't it be? In the middle of your verbal fight you just turn places, and come to understand the situation, reasons, motivation of the one, whom you tried to assure that he/she is wrong. Maybe, coming to know his/her feelings and thoughts, you will take his/her side? Or at least will learn that the ground for his/her behaviuor is a serious one, and not only stubbornness.
