According Einstein's theory of relativity this is impossible reach the light speed it is about 300,000,000 meters per second and more exactly 299,792,458 meters per second. This comes to 1,079,252,848.8 kph unimaginable speed. What will happen with human organism if it could reach this speed? Who know? But progress is not something stable, it developes and every day something new appears, so why not, some hundred years later will be created super engine that will give opportunities to reach the speed of light.
Differences between human and animal are simple. Animal never will do useless things as math, physics, art, reading books etc. Animal never will think about how to change theirs inborn abilities the Nature cares about it. Human always does stupid things, just think wider. For example me, instead of washing dirty plates and dishes I read books. I'm lazy, no I'm human also
