When I saw the Ankh in the very first time..don't remember exactly where it was I think there was a movie on BBC about Egyptology.........I got a strange feelling inside......the feeling was about to have it in my hand. So what I dream about at the moment............is to go To Egypt to find out more about the Ankh right there.........to visit the museums and have a look at the ancient Ankh creations.
So far I have read about some facts related to the Ankh...if you are interested here you are.
The Ankh comes from ancient Egyptians, this is the symbol (the actual Hieroglyphic sign) of life but it is an enduring icon that remains as a Christian cross. The ankh was considered to be an evolved form of, or associated with the Egyptian glyph for magical protection.
Another theory claims that the ankh was symbolic of the sunrise, with the loop representing the Sun rising above the horizon, which is represented by the crossbar.
Wolfhart Westendorf tended to associate the Ankh
