I am very sensitive to smells. My mind gathers smells all my life, stores them and later, if this smell is encountered again, can remind me of situation I have been when it was memorized. But mind cannot unfortunately reproduce these smells. I dream that I could store smells in some bottles, open them and enjoy when I wish to. Mostly I miss the smell associated with my beloved, who is no longer with me… That strange mixture of his aftershave, chocolate, coffee, the smell of his warm clean skin, the smell of cigarettes on his fingers… Or the smell of small café where we used to sit with him - coffee again, lemon, wood… I think that possessing these smells would enable me to close my eyes and think that we are together again…
