You know, I live in a very small town in Canada. It is even better to call it a big village. : ) But it is very beautiful and friendly. And we have a very good tradition, in my opinion. We do not consider New Year a holiday to be celebrated in the family circle. Or it is better to say - we consider the whole town to be a huge family. Do you know how much fun is it? We do everything altogather, everyone in our town participates in this-cooking, decorating a huge firtree, preparing surpises. Of course, it is easy to do for us, because the population is not that big and everyone knows each other. So, the celebration itself looks more like a fair - a lot of people in bright costumes, tables covered with delicious stuff, children dashing about, happy, with colorful gifts! And when New Year comes, we are together in one place at one time! I think that our tradition is a good one to have the followers in other cities and towns as well!
