The climate in my country is so hot so we never have snow during winters, only endless boring rains... In Brazil Christmas is as popular as the New Year, and most people spend both these holidays home, among their friends and relations, in accordance with old Portuguese traditions.
My idea is spending the New Year 2006 vacations floating down Amazon river in a big flat-boat with several friends of mine and provisions. I have a reliable boat, so we'll only need a big umbrella we'll rig up instead of the mast, plus oars for directing our movement downstream and fishing poles for having fun fishing during the trip.
It would be so much fun to repeat the deeds of Jerome K. Jerome's from "Three Men In A Boat" on the New Year holidays
