How do employees address to each other in your company? Do they call each other Mr., Ms., Mrs., or just Jack, Mary, Peter and so on? What about direction?
At first sight it looks like a big nonsense but exactly this little detail makes up the atmosphere in a group, speaks of corporative culture and influences the motivation of employees.
Form of address Mr. is usually popular in big firms working in financial or country administration field as well as in companies with strict hierarchy.
+ This creates quite convenient psychological distance between the colleagues. It makes the request of boss sound more like an order.
-Too rational distance in communication may grow into coldness and aloofness. Excessive officiality makes everyone feel like a tool in a big working machine rather than a colleague.
