Since St. Valentine's Day is just at hand, I want to offer you the recipe of dessert which can be easily served for this Holiday of Loving Couples!
The dish is called "Mandarines with orange-cognac sause". To prepare 4 helpings, you will need: 25 g butter, 2 tablespoons sugar, 150 ml orange juice, 6 mandarines (peeled and cut across), 3 tablespoons brandy or cognac.
Melt butter in deep frying pan or cauldron, add sugar, and mix until it also melts. Add orange juice and boil for 2-3 min. until it begins to change into syrup. Add mandarines and brandy, boil for 3-5 min., pouring over by sause. Distribute halves of mandarines on plates, pour them over by syrup and serve with vanilla ice-cream balls.
