Summary of the idea/dream: Ice water swimming: a good method of curing or a new sport in the next Olympic Games?
The winter Olympiad 2006 in Torino has come to the end. Of course, it has brought us many unforgettable moments. An idea struck me while I was watching the Olympic Games. Why not to include ice water marathon swimming in the next Olympic Games program. There is the world ice water swimmer whose record has been registered by the Guinness World Records Book. Vitaly Fetiskin (13 years old student) swam 525 meters in 14 minutes 10 seconds.
Generally speaking this sport is rooted in Russian and Finish traditions. Ice hole swimming (as it's also called) is a process of swimming in frozen water for some minutes having cut a large hole through the ice in advance.
