Hello. Mask is the essential part of carnivals. I know that Brazilian carnival is in February so I have an idea of hand made mask. Moreover, original mask will not only supplement with costume but also adorn interior.
These are required materials:
• Rubber ball, white gloss acrylic paint for decorative works.
• Orange acrylic paint.
• Golden acrylic paint, two tints.
• Beads.
• Floral wire, one hank.
• Wooden stick.
• Sewing.
• Newspapers.
• Cotton fabric.
• PVA glue.
Instruments: scissors, needle or awl, brushes.
Make nose and lips from plasticine. Stick it on the ball. Place the ball in the deep plate if you don't want it rotating.
Tear in pieces newspaper and soak it in water, then cover nose, lips and the area around with it. Don't wait until newspaper dry out, just spread glue PVA and apply a next coat of newspaper. Repeat this procedure several times and let the mask dry out for 24 hours.
