For the first time I watched curling competitions in winter 2001 and since then I watch the world curling competitions annually. I would love trying curling myself, but those stones, brooms and other curling accessories are quite costly, because this winter sport is considered to be elite. Another favourite game of mine is pool.
My idea is introducing a new exciting outdoor winter game by combining pool and curling. This game would be played on a rectangular 4x8 meters ice-covered plot of a skating rink bounded with solid gum barriers with 6 "pocket" zones cut out of its surface in the same manner as on a pool table.
The rules of this game are going to be the same as in pool, but curdling stones and brooms would be used istead of the balls and cue, in the same way as they are used in original curling game.
Perhaps the stones should also be upholstered with gum for better reflection.
