I found several posts about creating time-controlling devices here, and came up with a new sci-fi idea of creating a device that would skip long boring periods in your life perception, just like "Fast forward" function of your VHS player..
Your would live and function during these periods, but your consciousness would escape the boredom of these days.

I would always skip dull autumns and cold winters and 'jump' directly to sunny springs.
