Hey. I'm new here. I really love Photoshop and I would like to share an idea of making cool logo for a company. Here it goes:
1. Load up Photoshop and create a new 400x400 px layer just pressing Ctrl+N.
2. Select rectangular marquee tool and draw a rectangular from one another vertical way.
3. Copy layer and place rectangular parallel way to first rectangular.
4. Make copies of rectangular as many as you wish, the main principle is to place all rectangulars parallel way.
5. Merge down layers (Ctrl+E) and apply Polar Coordinates effect. (Filter/Distort/Polar Coordinates). Use "Rectangular to polar".
6. Now select Elliptical Marquee tool and draw an ellipse, where ever you want over the layer.
7. Inverse the selection and press delete.
8. Inverse selection again and choose Select/Modify/Smooth and put 5-8 px. Press ok.
9. Now you can apply any color you want. After that copy layer and place it under the original layer and color it lighter or darker color.
