Almost everyone likes to joke and sometimes even play tricks on friends, but one day a year it is done by everybody - young and old, great and small! As you already guest - it's the April Fool's day! But what is interesting, nobody knows why this holiday is held on the 1st of April…
There are several ideas about it: some people ascribe origin of this holiday to the Ancient Rome, where a holiday of Fools was celebrated in the middle of February (but not on 1st April). Others think that this holiday is coming from India, where people celebrated the Day of Jokes on 31st March. Still others are sure that for this holiday we are obliged to Neapolitan king Monterey, who was gifted a fish because of an earthquake stop. In a year the king required the same fish. It was not found, but the cook prepared other one, resembling the previous. And though the king discovered the deceit, he wasn't angry, it even made him smile. Since then 1st April's practical jokes became common!
