Summary of the idea/dream: Bake an Irish bread for celebrating the St. Patrick's Day
forthcoming St. Patrick's Day.
To bake 1 loaf of this bread you need the following components: white flour - 250 g, whole flour - 250 g, rolled oats - 100 g, baking soda - 1 tsp, salt - 1 tsp, butter cut in cubes - 25 g, buttermilk - 250 ml.
Warm the oven up to 200 centigrade degrees; sprinkle the baking tray with flour. Mix up all the dry ingredients in a big dish, rub butter into the mixture. Pour buttermilk and quickly make dough using a wide blunt knife or shovel, then quickly and lightly knead the dough with the tips of your fingers (take it very gently). Then form a round flat loaf of 20 cm in diameter.
Put the loaf on the tray, carve a cross on its top (it's an Irish tradition to let all the fairies out, but it also helps the bread get baked through). Bake for 30-35 minutes. The bread is ready if knocking on its bottom you can hear a dull sound. If it's not ready turn it over and bake for some more minutes.
Put the bread on a grate and cover it with a clean towel
