Today audio books begin to oust usual printed editions… It is so convenient, just lying on the couch and listening to an audio book. It has music and sound effects, so, listening is quite interesting… One can download the book (in MP3 format) from a website or buy on CDs and cassettes.

But… as is known, book (I mean printed one) is a unique invention of the mankind, with the help of which we are able to accumulate information about past societies, their way of life, their legends, rituals, customs and traditions. And what is more, printed edition is more safe for keeping information because… the written word remains, while audio cassette can be damaged just by bad and careless keeping.

So, to my mind, audio books are good for enjoying and printed ones - for historical accumulation of necessary information.

Summering up the above-said, my idea is that all schools, universities and other institutions have audio libraries… Lessons and seminars would be accompanied by listening
