Summary of the idea/dream: Vegetarian = Healthy
Many world religions prohibit eating animal flesh - completely or during the fasts.
These are Buddhaists, Bahai, Krishnu followers, Muslims, Christians, Jews, 7th Day Adventists, Hindi. I've always been wondering, why?
Presumably, the main reasons are that the animals do feel the pain and their blood and flesh is so similar to human, thus killing them is perceived as a sin.
I've been a vegetarian for 4 years, and in fact the vegetarian diet is even healthier than non-vegetarian, because vegetative food is easier to digest and brings more energy.
I think eating meat is rather socially constructed than inborn, although we do have omnivorous abilities.
One of my great crazy dreams is that one day humanity completely resuses eating animals, that no violence is caused to other living beings, that death of one lifeforms doesn't bring life and energy to other lifeforms.
How do you think, is that possible?
