I just adore water-melons, these fresh juicy hyper-berries. I especially love eating them in late autumn and early winter, when they revive the sunlit memories of summer so easily. However I've never managed to store them till the New Year.
My idea is raising a hybrid plant of water-melon and Christmas-tree that would bear water-melons in winter, accumulating the sun energy and water necessary in their needles. Its sweet fresh juice would become the most popular New Year brew, that's for sure.
